Thomas Charney 

During my time at Takano Landscape Planning, I was tasked with the grading, placement of furnishings, 3D modelling, and calculating of cut and fill for a hillside playscape in Nanporro Hokkaido. With its overall layout of the hill, it was up to me to determine appropriate contours based on the proportions of my clay model- from there I brought it into AutoCAD to prepare construction documents.

Lastly, I was given free reign to design the rest area for adults watching their children at this play area. Equipped with the native plant document I compiled, I set about making a planting design with varied color, year-round appeal, and entirely native to Hokkaido.
